Apple App Preview Video Specifications (2026)

Updated 2026-07-15

App Store Connect rejects App Preview videos that don't match Apple's exact specifications. This guide lists the requirements for every device, so your upload is accepted on the first try.

Requirements common to all devices

Resolution by device

Device Portrait Landscape
iPhone (6.9") 886 × 1920 1920 × 886
iPad 1200 × 1600 1600 × 1200
Mac 1920 × 1080
Apple TV 1920 × 1080
Apple Vision Pro 3840 × 2160 (4K)

Why videos get rejected

The most common rejection reasons are a resolution that doesn't match the table above, a duration outside the 15–30 second window, and a codec other than H.264. Screen recordings from a real device or simulator almost never match the required frame size out of the box, so they need to be scaled, cropped, or padded before upload.

The fast way to convert

PreviewASO Screen converts any screen recording into a compliant App Preview: pick the device, trim to 15–30 seconds in the browser, and download an H.264 file at the exact resolution App Store Connect expects. The first conversion each day is free.
